Barn Wedding Photo Ideas

Your wedding photos turn a moment into a life-long memory. You’ll want to remember everything, from the first kiss as newlyweds to the flowers on the dinner tables. Capture the entire experience and take advantage of your venue: part of the charm of barn weddings is that your wedding isn’t limited to inside or outside the barn. For example, at The Barn of Belle Hills, our modern barn’s upscale interior is a blank canvas for your celebration—and gold in the sun, the rich fields that surround us need no ornamentation.

In the Barn

The inside of our wedding barn is elegant enough for indoor ceremonies and large enough for the reception afterward. Use the draped curtains across our vaulted ceilings to create an elegant, ethereal background as you and your partner take photos under our lustrous crystal chandelier. Our fireplace is a classic focal point for indoor ceremonies, cleanly lined by the wedding seating and surrounded by crisp white shiplap. Capture pictures of your table settings before the dinner; snap a shot of the dance floor during the reception and get a close-up of your favorite decorations. With 3000 square feet of space, we have ample room for 250 guests and your photographers. Notably, most of our interior lighting has dimmers to help provide soft, dreamy lighting.

Amid Rolling Hills

Nothing is more evocative of a barn wedding than pastoral photos taken in the grass fields outside. Our Kentucky barn lies amid a soft green pasture bordered by a rich blanket of trees whose leaves change into an unforgettable fiery orange in the fall. Outside the barn is our lighted wrap-around porch, where one can take photos without leaving our barn's shelter. The barn’s clean exterior is a simple yet complementary backdrop for gathering the wedding party. A paved walkway leads directly out of the barn to our Amish-built gazebo, a Barn at Belle Hills outdoor wedding favorite. Our wooden footbridge is also ideal for pausing and immortalizing your special day.
